World Clean Up Day

Bali, Sept 20, 2025 – In commemoration of World Clean Up Day (WCD) 2025, OceanHero once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental preservation by organizing a cleanup activity through the #BaliLebihBersih campaign. Held at Kampung Kepiting in Denpasar, the event successfully collected 129 kilograms of plastic waste.

The cleanup involved local communities, university students, and volunteers who are concerned about environmental issues. Kampung Kepiting was chosen as the location because it is one of the coastal areas most vulnerable to plastic pollution, especially after the flooding that struck Bali on September 10.

“Through the Bali Lebih Bersih campaign, we want to encourage the public to be more aware of environmental preservation, especially after the recent flooding. This serves as proof that the environment is a shared responsibility. The plastic waste we reduce today is an investment in a cleaner and more sustainable future for Bali,” said Yudi Suarbawa

A day earlier (19/9), OceanHero also held an educational activity at TK Putra Budaya in Denpasar. This initiative aligns with the spirit of the #BaliLebihBersih campaign, which emphasizes that education is the best first step before taking action. Through early-age engagement, the program aims to encourage sustainable preventive behavior and increase public awareness of environmental issues, including among children.

“We believe that big changes start with small steps. What we are doing in Kampung Kepiting is just the beginning. Hopefully, more and more people will be inspired to take similar actions in their own communities,” he said
